We highly enjoyed the inaugural Walking Summit in Washington, DC in 2013. And this year, we are happy to play a bigger role by taking the participants on insightful netwalks around the nation’s capital and having a talk on “Exploring Walking from a Woman’s Point of View,” said Netwalking founder, Jessica Tunon.
“Walking can improve our health, reduce our healthcare costs, provide equal transportation access for everyone, clean our environment, improve the economic viability of our downtowns, and more. America Walks is excited to feature Netwalks at the National Walking Summit, as way to walk our talk, pairing conference participants to learn from leaders and visionaries to discuss issues pertinent to their work while walking and seeing great sites,” said Scott Bricker, Executive Director of America Walks.
The National Walking Summit is the premier opportunity for national organizations, companies, agencies, and local partners to convene to share best practices and stories, increase the visibility of these key issues, build support among federal agencies, and create momentum for the work ahead.
